1 Corinthians 1:8-2:5
There are a lot of things in this world that seem “good.” A good burger from In-N-Out, a Thanksgiving meal as a family, helping a stranger in need. Those may be nice things, but do not forsake the Greatest Good for affections of the world. The cross is at the center of everything you need and hope for. It represents God’s predetermined affection for you. The good that is in our life is Christ making us more like Him.
