Steve Parmenter
Steve was born and raised in Oregon, but he moved to San Jose with his family while in Junior High. After graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's in Social Science, he went on to receive his Master's in Educational Administration. Steve has been in Christian education for the past 16 years, spending 15 of them with middle school students. Steve and his wife, Suzy, have been at MHBC since 2004 and have two beautiful children, Kathryn and Samuel. As a family, they enjoy cooking, trips together in the outdoors and sports.
Phil Gregory
Phil and Cindy Gregory both grew up in Morgan Hill, coming to Christ as youngsters in local churches. They met in San Jose while serving together in a Church singles group (Crossroads Bible Church). Married in 1987, they have three grown children. Phil and Cindy joined MHBC in 1989. Since then they have been active in the church having served on the Missions team, taught Sunday School (4-6th grades), and led Bible studies. Phil has held various roles including as a Deacon, served on several Finance Committees, discipled men, and also served from 1999-2005 as an Elder.Phil has served on the Board of Directors of Open Door Libraries, a Missions organization, and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Mount Hermon. They take great delight in their home Bible study group, having led the group since 2010, and having seen several in the study group accept Christ as Savior. Phil is President of NK Technologies in San Jose.
Michael Best
Michael grew up in a Christian family in Southern California and came to know Jesus at an early age. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Pastoral Studies and received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Prior to coming to Morgan Hill Bible Church, Michael served on the pastoral staff at The Moody Church in Chicago, IL for 13 years, where he gave leadership to their Sunday Night Service and Student Ministries. Michael has been married to his beautiful wife Kristin since 2010, and they have two daughters, Arya and Emilie. Michael loves cycling, mountain biking, reading, and hiking. Together he and Kristin have visited over 45 US National Parks since they were married, and love to travel and explore all over the US and the world. Michael loves getting to lead the the team at Morgan Hill Bible Church and be a part of what God is doing in the South Valley.
Roy Stamps
Roy was born in New York State but grew up in San Jose. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's in Industrial Technology and later earned a Master's in Vocational Education from SJSU. In 1991, Roy retired as Commander after 29 years of combined active and reserve duty in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his years of service to our country, Roy taught electronics and robotics for nearly 30 years at both the high school and college levels. Roy and his wife of more than 40 years, Lee, have attended MHBC since 2000. In addition to serving as a community group leader and elder, Roy serves as Director of Pastoral Care where his heart for people, passion for seeing them connected to the body of Christ and encouraged in their walk with God is fully expressed. If he isn't ministering at church, traveling or spending time with his grandkids, Roy enjoys gardening or spending time on the golf course.
Adam Garelli
Adam was born and raised on the California central coast, and came to know Christ in 8th Grade. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During this time Adam traveled to Peru and Pakistan on missions trips, and joined a small church plant in downtown San Jose. He also enrolled at Western Seminary where he completed a Graduate Studies Diploma. During his last year in seminary he met and married his incredible wife. She spent several years teaching internationally and domestically, and is currently focused on raising their three energetic children. Adam works at Apple as a Senior Architect in the Product Design Department. As a family they enjoy being active outdoors, adventuring with their kids, serving in the youth ministries, and spending quality time with friends and family.
