With so many families right here in Morgan Hill struggling to make ends meet, we reached out to a local elementary school with significant needs for low-income students. 61% of San Martin/Gwinn Environmental Science Academy students (K-8) are on reduced lunch, meaning their families are most likely not able to provide any school supplies for their kids. With brand new backpacks provided by MHBC, our church went out and filled each one with supplies for students at San Martin/Gwinn and returned them in time for the first day of school.
