Isaiah 58
Every single one of us has incalculable value. Justice is a beautiful symptom of a relationship with Jesus. As followers of Jesus, we are encouraged to seek justice. “If you don’t have justice, you don’t have me.”
Reflection Questions:
What stands out to you about God’s heart?
Why would God say that a deep concern for justice for the poor and the stranger is the inevitable sign of a love relationship with him? Why would those go together?
In Isaiah 58:7, God calls the poor and the stranger “your own flesh and blood.” How does that change your perspective toward people of other races and the poor?
How does understanding the gospel turn justice from another item on my list of obligations to do, into a delight?
What are some steps you can take to bring justice into your world?
