Who is the “me” in follow me? The book of Matthew is consistently backing up that Jesus is the Messiah that everyone had waited for. Jesus showed what true Kingdom living looks like through His teaching and relationships. When He asked the disciples to follow Him, it wasn't a light command; and He asks us the same thing. Jesus is many things, but do we grasp the reality and wonder of the person who is calling us?
