At the end of this book, John seems to throw in some last minute additions to his argument for confidence in how we approach God and how we walk with God. For example, eternal life. When we say we know we have eternal life, doesn't that sound a little presumptuous? "I know I'm going to heaven." Doesn't that sound a little proud? Maybe a little arrogant? It sounds that way, doesn't it... until you understand what the basis of our faith is.
